Installation Procedure

When using AA size alkaline batteries, install the alkaline battery holder according to the

following procedure.

1. Make sure the Handheld Terminal is turned off. If the power is on, press the power

key to turn it off.

2. Turn over the Handheld Terminal.

3. Slide the two main battery cover lock

switches on both sides of the Handheld

Terminal to the “FREE” position, and

remove the main battery cover.

If the battery pack is installed, remove the

battery pack by referring to step 4

describing “To replace the battery pack”

on page 30.

4. Install the alkaline battery holder as

shown in the illustration.

Fold the battery pack removal tape so that

it is beneath the alkaline battery holder.
