CLABcanbeused:
as an interface connected to a CASIO Graphic Calculator with displayof

asastandalonedatalogger.
8.2.CLAB
withaCASIOGraphicCalculator
CLABcanbeusedwithCASIOGraphicCalculatorsonwhichtheECONsoftwareis
installed, such as CASIO fxCG Series, fx9860GII Series or ClassPad II (fxCP400).
WhenconnectedtoacalculatorCLABiscontrolledbytheECONsoftwarerunning
on
the calculator. The collected data are transferred to the calculator and the
measurementcanbefollowedandanalyzedonthecalculator.ToconnectCLABto
aCASIOGraphicCalculatoryouneedadatacommunicationcablewith3pinjack
connectors(SB62).ThiscableisprovidedwithyourCASIOGraphic
Calculator.
8.1.CLABwithaPCcomputer
Via the provided USB cable CLAB can be connected to a USB port of a PC
computer and work as a lab interface. The Coach 6 program running on the PC
controls CLAB. The collected data are transferred to the computer and
the
measurement can be followed and analyzed on the computer screen. The USB
cableisprovidedwithyourCLABdatalogger.
8.3.CLABstandalone
When using CLAB as a standalone device, CLAB controls the data collection
process; it collects and stores the measurement data. This is very useful for
remote data collection e.g. outside the school. The experimental setup is
preparedusingtheECONapplicationonaCASIOGraphicCalculatorortheCoach
softwareonacomputeranduploadedtoCLAB.Themeasureddataarestoredin
the CLABmemory and can bedownloaded into acalculator or
acomputer after
themeasurementisfinished.
